Two years after the launch of the Unitary Patent system, the EPO offers a refresher on the procedure on the procedure for obtaining unitary protection and other related services. This lecture provides in-depth information on the submission of requests for unitary effect, requests for compensation of translation costs, requests for re-establishment of rights and requests for the registration of transfers of rights or licences. The lecture also provides insights into the practice of the EPO’s Unitary Patent Division.
