more infoPatent documents are a rich source of technical and legal information openly available to anyone who is interested. But with so many documents and so much information out there, it's easy to lose your way. How do you access the patent information you need in a timely manner, and how can you ensure that you haven't missed any relevant information? Is there a classification system under which all this information is stored?

- about the Cooperative Patent Classification (CPC) scheme and how it differs from other systems as well as about Y02, the classification scheme for climate change mitigation technologies (course 1)

Patentability of new technological developments
more infoThis learning path looks at the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on our daily lives and across all areas of society and technology worldwide. As blockchain technology is applied in an increasing number of technical areas, more and more inventions involving its use are proving to be patentable. In order to capitalise on the opportunities new technologies present, we have to have a comprehensive understanding of various related issues. These include compliance requirements, fields of application, searching and examining, the current technological landscape and the associated challenges and opportunities that these new technologies bring to patenting.

Training for PATLIB 2.0 centres
more infoThe material of this training has been organised in six online courses. The courses give you access to resources (online courses, e-learning modules, virtual classrooms), starting from an introduction to the European patent system, to patentability requirements, search and classification, patent information products and tools and IP rights and their benefits. You can go through the materials at your own pace and according to your degree of knowledge.
This learning path is exclusively available for PATLIB 2.0 centres.
